Every action feels instant.
Press C anywhere to add a task. ⌘K opens search and every action. J and K move through a list; with a task selected, one key changes its status, priority, assignee or due date. Everything renders at once and reconciles with the server afterwards.
Calm
One accent. Hairlines. Whitespace.
A neutral palette in light and dark, one teal for what is active or done, amber for what is moving. Information sits on the page, not in cards inside cards. Nothing blinks, bounces or asks for attention.
Obvious
Five nouns. No tour.
Workspace, project, task, label, comment. Six fixed statuses in every project: Backlog, Todo, In Progress, In Review, Done, Cancelled. Nothing to configure before you can start, and nothing to learn later.
Projects
A list and a board over the same tasks.
List groups by status in workflow order; Board is one column per status. Drag to reorder or to change status. Filter by assignee, label and priority; the filter lives in the URL, so a view is a link you can send.
Tasks
Everything about a task, in a panel beside it.
Click a task and it opens beside the list, never on another page. Status, priority, assignee, due date, repeat and labels are one click or one key each. Subtasks, a markdown description, comments with @mentions, and a link that opens the same panel for a teammate.
What is in it

- My Tasks. Every open task assigned to you, across projects, grouped Overdue · Today · This week · Next week · Later · No date.
- List and Board. Two layouts over the same tasks, drag and drop in both, Done and Cancelled hidden until you ask.
- Priority, due date, labels, one assignee. And subtasks, one level deep.
- Repeat. Daily, weekly on a weekday, or monthly on a day. Marking one done creates the next.
- Comments and mentions. Markdown in comments and descriptions, with live checkboxes.
- Inbox. Assigned, mentioned, or a comment on your task. Mark read one at a time or all at once.
- Live. A teammate's change appears without a refresh.
- Command palette. ⌘K searches tasks and projects and runs every action.
- Keyboard first. Every shortcut is listed in Settings; nothing needs the mouse.
- Workspaces. Keep work and personal apart. Archive a finished one; restore it later.
- Files. Attach files up to 25 MB to tasks and projects, or drop them into a comment. Pro.
- Sign in with email. Password reset and email verification, and a real API underneath.
What it is not
Not an enterprise tool.
No sprints, epics or milestones. No custom fields or custom statuses. No dashboards, time tracking or task dependencies. No admin, guest or viewer roles: a workspace has owners and members, and everyone sees every project. If your team needs those, Todoly is the wrong tool, and we would rather say so here.
